Visual Music

Treatment: In this project, I choose the song The Last Rose of Summer played by the cellist Yo-yo Ma for visual music. The feeling of the music is hard to depict so I use simple abstract geometric shapes for the animation. I was influenced by the artwork of Kazimir Malevich and Walter Ruttmann. They are great examples of how to use abstract geometric shapes to depict emotion and movement.
